Andy I was fully in favour of an expierienced striker But the window has gone and i am fully aware of our chairman and his say one thing mean another statements.

all i meant about the new strikers bought as they are here start with one of them preferably Moses and give Matins at least twenty minutes or why buy them?

So a few days ago I planned the rest of the season:

Stoke A - 9th Feb - Got 1pt - Have 24pts (0 outlook 42 pts)
Bolton H - 17th Feb - 1pt - Have 25 pts (-2 outlook 40 pts)
Spurs H - 21st Feb
Birmingham A - 27th Feb
Liverpool H 8th Mar
Bolton A - 13th Mar
Villa H 16th Mar
Burnley H 20th Mar
Man City A 29th Mar
Fulham A 2nd Apr
Portsmouth H 10th Apr
Arsenal H 17th Apr
West Ham A 24th Apr
Hull H 1st May
Chelsea A 9th May

So we still have a chance with 40 but anymore slip ups and it's going to be close.

The Fink Tank @ The Times, estimates the points for 18th to 20th will be:

Wolves - 36 pts
Hull - 35pts
Portsmouth - 32/33 pts

Happy now morons?

Boo after the game boo before, look up the word supporter in the dictionary please.

A point a game average might just be enough to keep us up, I doubt it but as per other seasons a lot of other clubs are woeful, we sometimes think we are rubbish but compared to the dross lately we can rise above the mediocrity and look forward to season six.

Once we get a win, starting against Spurs on Sunday I reckon we’ll put a decent run away from relegation and shut the pathetic dissent that cowers around the DW.

Yes we needed the win last night but it was imperative we didn’t lose, that’s football good and bad, smile folks and remember you woke up this morning.

Firstly, let's get down to brass tacks. Last night was a shite game between two crap teams. I'm getting hacked off with Bob's tactics and after his post match summary in which he seems to be celebrating the fact we've secured a 0-0 draw at home to Bolton it now appears we have a mentalist running the show.
However, out of the growing relegation cack that we found ourselves in, the one thing I don't agree with is booing your own team at a game.

Get things off your chest on the internet or with your mates after the game, if a player is waltzing round with no commitment towards the cause then he deserves stick. However, booing your team which might be short on ideas but is also low on confidence is going to make things even worse.

And at the moment things are bad enough.

I've been waiting for Andy's musing after last night's offering and I basically agree word for word with what he says. Of the various sites I've read the following from Noblot Vital sums it up the best:
"Bolton and Wigan played out a turgid goalless draw at the DW Stadium, in a game that had everything bar goals, excitement, skill and team work."
Bob did try to change things around last night with some semblence of a 4-4-2 in the first half and at least tried to be positive by chucking on an extra striker for the last half hour. The plain fact is we can't score and certain players have been showing disturbing traits over the last few home games. Hugo and Figs are no longer with us in mind and body, they are somewhere else where the grass is greener in their opinion and are just going through the motions, but Bob has no option but to play them because of the size of the squad. N'Zog has also decided he is a one man team and can beat all 11 men by himself instead of passing when he has the opportunity and is possibly the stroppiest player we've had on the books for a good while.
These three are supposed to be our star players added to which Paul Scharner is out of contract in the summer when I can see all four going even if we stay up. This will be the tipping point because Basil Fawlty is only going to spend so much on a player replacing them with lesser personel.

The positives from last night were the performances of both of the Sweatys. McCarthy had a good game in midfield again and Cauldwell made some very decisive tackles/interceptions at the back. Gomez didn't come on as well.

Booing.
All of us were here in 93/94 and have seen a truly shocking side wearing Latics colours. Of the meagre crowds that turned up in those lean years, you can bet not one of them booed last night, this being the bent of the fan we have picked up since 2005 who only came to the table when we hit the big time. Jason Scotland was booed again before he even kicked a ball which is disgraceful and to the lad's credit he's took it on the chin and hasn't reacted. It's got to stop.

I said a few weeks ago that the last three games would define our season and we needed the lion's share of the points. We didn't get them. In fact we didn't get anywhere near them and finished each game hanging on and if it wasn't for the intervention of Lady Luck, we'd have lost two of the games.
If we couldn't beat that crap last night I'm at a loss where our next win is coming from.
