"I have it from a reliable source" from some one at JJB Towers that Messers Whelan and Leneghan have had a little tiff.

Apparently the great one has stopped the Klumps training under the East Stand and made it so they only use the stadium for matches. Also their lease was reduced to 56 years under terms of the recent buy-out.

I have been informed that the original idea for next years kit in "mainly blue" has been rejected and the new shirt is likely to sport the tree and crown badge on BLUE AND WHITE STRIPES.

An excellent move by the club.

I never buy the current shirt as I'm a bit averse to being ripped off and like to buy the out of date one at knock down prices... but if its a PROPER Latics shirt with out PROPER badge I may just be tempted.

Well done WAFC.

At last a good business decision.

Keeping prices reasonable will do a great deal to build on the regular home attendance for next season.

My only gripe & we all know that the ref got major decisions incorrect, I can just about stand the men-in-black blundering but its knowing full well in the offending tackles, lunges & handballs were committed by a blue & white shirt then ALL of the decisions would have been reversed, that is what really rankles, not the fact the ref(s) get it wrong but the sheer fact that the decisions are made depending on who you are.

Thoroughly enjoyable day and a reminder of why we wanted to stay in the Premier League. To be integrally involved in a huge event like that made the hairs stand up on my neck.

Latics looked the better side in the first 15 minutes and made it into a very competetive game - I think we put a bit of integrity back into the league after last years corruption.

Ref bottled it from start to finish, but for me the highlight was the home fans.
Fantastic support throughout, out-singing rabid away support for large parts and silencing them beautifully with that "we support our local team" retort. That should become our standard next year.

Typical Wigan Athletic organisation genius to open the exit gates with 2000 Marsh Greem Armchair Man U fans in their freshly purchasd red t-shirts waiting to storm in.
Hillsborough anyone?

W8 I think it was were I suspect a certain contigent of well known Wigan gentlemen obviously objected to the newcomers taking the proverbial and offered the odd slap...
Other than that, most of the Utd fans in our end behaved themselves and watched with restraint - fair play tothem.

who got the most for their spare tickets then?

Ref was a bit dodgy??????

He had three key decisions to make in the first half and he got two of them wrong and both would have favoured us.

I'd rather have had Lee Probert than him today. Bennett is a big team ref and wasn't he the one Jewell got stopped from officiating Wigan matches?
